Dr Charley Barnes is an author, academic and poet from the West Midlands, UK. She is a lecturer in Creative and Professional Writing at the University of Wolverhampton. Charley’s work has appeared in numerous journals and earlier this year she published her first full collection, Lore: Flowers, Folklore, and Footnotes (Black Pear Press, 2021), and her most recent short pamphlet, Leaf-eater (Wild Pressed Books, 2021), that details Charley’s journey through nature with her puppy.

Charley also writes fiction under the name Charlotte Barnes.
